Central Iowa Advocacy Training Kick Off-Completed

Sunday, January 14th, 2018, 2:00-3:30-Johnston High School, 6500 NW 100th Street

Phil Jeneary, from the Iowa Association of School Boards, will join the Johnston Legislative Action Committee and share how to best advocate for your community school. Leaders from Parents for Great Iowa Schools will share their “Make Iowa’s Public Schools #1 Again” Campaign.

Because parents & community members are the most powerful voice at the Capitol, Parents for Great Iowa Schools has partnered with Iowa Association of School boards (IASB) for their Day on the Hill Event. Private school and home school supporters are very organized and active. We need the voice of public schools to be heard loud and clear, too!

We will start out the day at the Des Moines Botanical Center. IASB will provide training for us to be effective advocates, Gov. Reynolds will speak during lunch, then we will make our way to the Capitol. Get your tickets today and join us to be the voice of public schools!
